Cape St. Mary's Pelagic

Cape St. Mary's is home to one of North America's most accessible and spectacular seabird colonies — over 24,000 Northern Gannets nest on Bird Rock, just meters from the cliff edge. Pelagic trips from St. Bride's venture offshore into the cold, fish-rich waters of the Grand Banks area, where the Labrador Current creates extraordinary seabird concentrations. Expect Gannets by the thousands, Thick-billed and Common Murres, Atlantic Puffins, Razorbills, shearwaters, storm-petrels, and phalaropes.
